Attawapiskat Chief Theresa Spence is still on hunger strike, and has been since December 11. Spence will not end the strike until “Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Gov. Gen. David Johnston agree to sit down and talk about Canada’s treaty relationship with First Nations leadership.”
Justin Trudeau met with Spence today, and posted the below tweet, along with a photo of the meeting.

It was deeply moving to meet [Theresa Spence] today. She is willing to sacrifice everything for her people. She shouldn’t have to.

So far the Prime Minister’s Office has been silent, but Aboriginal Affairs Minister John Duncan says he is concerned about Spence’s health.
